Somehow you’ve stumbled onto my blog. Welcome! This space is my attempt to digest my PhD journey, from things I read and hear, to ideas that need mulling.
My thesis is titled ‘Co-branding the Museum: Museum Social Media Identity and Audience Perception‘. In it I am looking at how museum brands are constructed on social media and the role and perceptions of networked audiences in this process. The thesis then will explore museum organisational culture/structure and institutional evaluation, as well as use social media as a ‘field site’ and as data.
I plan on completing in 2020 and I say this
confidently naively in 2018, a few months after starting the programme. So I apologize in advance as I anticipate my posts will be a blend of annoying positivity, quiet brainstorms, and bouts of doubt.
